At a glance

Start your adventure

Start at level 1 in Rookgaard. Read the letter in your bag; at level 8, visit the Oracle to choose your vocation. Install the Windows client or the Mac app from Downloads; Wine is included in the Mac app. Use your account name, not your email. Idle logout: 20 minutes for free accounts and 40 for premium, with a one-minute warning. Reconnect manually after disconnection. Item hotkeys and action-bar buttons work like right-click Use: open the bag containing the item, press the shortcut and click the desired target. They never automatically use your attack target. Client 5.15 automatically downloads content updates when opened. New Rookgaard characters start with a jacket, club, torch and bag containing an apple and welcome letter.

Experience and shared party XP

Experience is 1x at all levels. Skills 1x, fishing 1x, magic 1x and loot 1x. With shared experience enabled and at least two players, the total XP bonus depends on different base vocations: +20% for the same vocation, +35% for two, +70% for three and +100% for four. Promotions count as their original vocation. Divide the boosted total equally: a duo of the same vocation gets 600 XP each from 1,000 XP; a duo of different vocations gets 675 each. Members must stay within 30 tiles and one floor of the leader, and the lowest level must be at least two thirds of the highest.

Fishing and exhausted water

Use a fishing rod on water outside a protection zone. Each attempt requires a worm; only a successful catch consumes it. One catch exhausts that water tile for 30 minutes. All rods share a minimum two-second interval. Catch probability is P(L) = 0.14 + 0.0014L, capped at 100%; Reinforced and Master rods add 3 and 6 percentage points. Each valid attempt grants 1 Fishing point at the 1x skill rate, even on failure; the temporary Skill Boost adds 10%. All vocations follow the Knight fist skill curve. The species table shows odds conditional on a successful catch. At Fishing level 50, receive one Fish Hook Board for your house. It is delivered once per character, including previously eligible characters, ignoring item weight. If the inventory is full, free a slot and reopen Bestiary or log in again; the reward stays pending without using the depot.

Fish effects and duration

Normal Fish gives 2m24s food (3 oz); Fat Fish gives 5m (4 oz). Tautog gives +10 speed; Bluefish +1 magic level; Spearfish +2 distance; Fighter Fish +2 sword, axe and club; Betta Fish +1 HP and +1 MP every 4 seconds outside protection zones. Each buff fish weighs 3 oz and adds 30 minutes. Eating the same species adds time without increasing the bonus; different species coexist. Remaining buff time is saved on logout. Buff fish do not add food. Old Purple/Red Fish are now Fat/Tautog Fish. Bluefish is restricted to sorcerers/druids, Spearfish to paladins, and Fighter Fish to knights, including promotions. Buffed values appear in green in Skills. Hover for the fish effect and remaining time. Mp Regen and Hp Regen show vocation rates plus Betta Fish; hover explains the independent timers. Goldfish (fishing 20+) yields 1–100 random gold coins. Redfish (fishing 30+) adds 5% of base maximum HP, rounded up, for 30 minutes without healing. The bonus adjusts on level up and ends on death. Both weigh 3 oz; all vocations can use them. See Items → Fish for benefits and restrictions.

Bestiary and Cyclopedia

Open the monster icon in the client. Bestiary tracks three kill milestones per species, with automatic rewards once per character. Each milestone grants XP = additional kills since the previous milestone × base monster XP × 15% and bank gold = additional kills since the previous milestone × base monster XP × 3%, rounded down and unaffected by XP stages. The first milestone grants double XP and gold; charms are unchanged. All kill milestones have been doubled. Charms are saved per character and their total appears in the Bestiary; they have no use yet. Charms for milestones I/II/III: weak 10/20/40, medium 20/40/80, difficult 40/80/120, very difficult 80/120/200, rare/boss 100/200/300. Nearby eligible shared-party members also gain kill progress. Cyclopedia is the second tab: search monsters and drops, NPC locations/trades and items. Previously claimed milestones are not paid again. Milestone III of Rat (500 kills) awards one Toy Mouse; milestone III of Spider (500 kills) awards one Toy Spider. Each decoration is awarded once per character, including existing completions. Delivery goes to inventory, ignoring weight; full inventories keep the item pending until there is space and you reopen Bestiary or log in again.

Task Manager

Open the Tasks tracker button, then Manage tasks. Hunting tasks are repeatable and have their own interface; NPCs no longer assign them. Each new character starts with the 100 Rats task active in their first slot; it can be cancelled or changed. Each character starts with one active task slot. Buy the second for 20 points, the third for 80 points, and the fourth for 300 points in the Premium tab of the in-game shop; each upgrade is permanent and character-specific. Choose 100 to 1,000 kills in steps of 100. XP rewards rise linearly from 7% to 20% of the base XP of monsters killed; gold rises from 2% to 4% of that same base XP and goes to your bank. Orcs, Minotaurs and Dwarfs are grouped. Collect a completed task in the window, or cancel a task to free its slot and forfeit progress.

Star Monsters

Eligible natural spawns can become Star Monsters: 1 star (1.5%), 2 stars (0.4%) or 3 stars (0.1%). Stars increase HP, damage, experience and loot. A Star Boost doubles each spawn chance for the whole server for 10 minutes. Once seen by a player, a Star Monster may disappear after 10 minutes, with a 60-second combat grace period; disappearing grants no XP or loot.

Equipment, food and premium

Your depot is shared across cities. Quivers occupy a hand beside a bow or crossbow and hold only arrow/bolt stacks; they cannot be used with spears or other thrown weapons. Rotten/Kongra/Dragon/Hydra/Demon Quivers hold 2/3/4/5/6 stacks, respectively. Their fixed bonuses are none / +1 armor / +1 attack / +1 attack and armor / +2 attack and +1 armor. Enchanted quivers can reduce the weight of arrows or bolts inside them only while equipped. Food cap is 20 minutes for free accounts and 40 for premium. New accounts start with 4 premium days. Free accounts can take normal boats to free areas with carried gold. Premium areas and bring me to require premium. Premium pays the whole fare from the bank first, then carried gold if the bank cannot cover it, without combining balances. Premium also allows right-click coin pickup from containers without a Cash Ring. Promotion requires premium. NPCs sell only blank runes; filled runes must be conjured by players. Owning at least one unlocked mount grants a passive +10 speed even while dismounted; riding adds no extra speed.

Skinning

Use a Skinning Knife, Obsidian Knife or Master Skinning Knife on a fresh eligible corpse. All vocations follow the Knight fist skill curve. Each valid attempt gives 20 Skinning points at the 2x skill rate (24 while Skill Boost is active), whether it succeeds or fails, and each corpse permits only one attempt. Base success starts at 10%; Obsidian adds 2.5 percentage points and Master adds 5, but Master requires Skinning 20. Trade 100 orc leathers and 10,000 carried gold with !skinning outfit for the full Citizen of Issavi outfit.

Relic Box

Relic Box opens beside your backpack windows and holds five individual relics. Slots 1 and 2 are free; slots 3, 4 and 5 cost 1,000 / 3,000 / 10,000 bank gold for 48 hours counted only in battle. Empty rented slots also count during battle. Temporary relic duration pauses when unequipped or offline. Equipped relics have a translucent white frame in the Relic Box; the window icon has no frame. Relics remain separate from equipment enchantments. Eight relics offer speed, regeneration, magic, distance, melee, armor or attack bonuses. Sunday Daily Rewards grants a Living Ember; the other relics have no normal acquisition source yet.

Hunt and XP analyzers

Follow experience gain, session pace, loot and expenses in separate panels inside the client.

Hunting Guide

Browse hunts ordered by recommended level, see their map location and add a waypoint. Rookgaard and mainland listings are separate.

Daily Rewards

Requires premium, level 8 and 60 qualifying online minutes on the server day. Unlocked days from the current reward cycle can be claimed until the cycle resets. Rewards are delivered directly to your inventory. Capacity and inventory space are required.

Shared server boosts

XP Boost and Skill Boost each add +20% for 10 minutes to the whole server; Skill Boost also affects Fishing, Skinning and Enchanting progress. Star Boost doubles the natural spawn chances of 1-, 2- and 3-star monsters for 10 minutes. Each boost costs 10 points in the in-game Boosts tab, arrives as an item and activates when used. Using another of the same type extends its server-wide timer.

Training equipment

Gorn sells spear, sword, axe, club, wand and rod in four tiers: Standard (3,600 charges, attack interval -5%, 5,000 gold), Spark (7,200, -8%, 9,000 gold), Lightning (10,800, -11%, 13,000 gold) and Inferno (14,400, -14%, 17,000 gold). Prices are per item. Each successful hit deals exactly 1 damage and spends one charge. Training spears can be used with a shield. Training wand and rod consume no mana and train magic as 1 mana spent per 5 hits. Look shows the remaining charges.

Shop and Loyalty

Shop Loyalty rewards unlock from cumulative points spent and can be claimed once per account. Outfit milestones grant complete looks with both addons: Entrepreneur at 100, Ceremonial Garb at 500, Guidon Bearer at 1,000, Royal Bounacean Advisor at 3,000 and Royal Costume at 5,000 points spent. Other Loyalty items remain available. The outfit shop sells complete outfits only: 250 points, including both addons. Golden costs 1,000,000 bank gold. Thirteen complete outfits can be earned through gameplay, including Citizen of Issavi from Skinning. Orcsoberfest Garb is sold in the shop.

Saves and PvP

Server saves run at 05:00 and 17:00 Brasília time without a scheduled restart. Map clean runs only Monday at 05:00 Brasília. Red skull requires 3/5/10 unjustified kills in rolling 24-hour/7-day/30-day windows and lasts 15 days. Account banishment requires 6/10/20 kills in those windows and lasts 15 days.

Enchantments and rarity

Rarity belongs to each equipment item: Common has no added text or border; Uncommon, Rare, Epic and Legendary have 1, 2, 3 and 4 permanent enchantments. Eligible helmets, armor, legs, boots, shields, melee weapons, bows/crossbows, wands/rods and quivers are explicitly assigned to low, medium or high pools. A slot first draws one attribute group uniformly; groups never repeat on the same item. A two-value group chooses the lower value 60% of the time and the higher 40%; three-value groups use 50%/30%/20% from lowest to highest. The pool tables below list all current values. Max health bonuses grant mages one third, paladins two thirds and knights the full value; max mana grants mages the full value, paladins two thirds and knights one third. Bonuses apply only while equipped. Eligible monster-dropped equipment has a 3% chance to be Uncommon and a separate exclusive 0.3% chance to be Rare; otherwise it stays Common. The three stones and their gold costs can change existing items, and item data survives relog, trade and Player Shop. Life/mana leech and mana absorb now roll a chance and recover a fixed 20% of actual damage on activation, rounded down. Equipped chances add up, capped at 100%. Old 1%/2%/3% amounts correspond to 5%/10%/15% chances; existing items remain compatible. Use the reference below to filter pools and eligible items by tier and equipment class.

Enchanted quest rewards

Eligible quest-chest equipment rolls Uncommon 70%, Rare 29% or Epic 1% when claimed. Its groups and values follow that exact item's low, medium or high pool. Other rewards remain normal; Common items stay unchanged. Quest rewards do not use the old attribute-enchantment mechanism.

Weekly stamina

Stamina ranges from 0 to 56 hours. Above 42 hours, monster XP is 120%; above 28 to 42 hours it is 100%; above 14 to 28 hours it is 50% and each loot entry has a 50% chance to pass; above 0 to 14 hours it is 30% with no loot; at 0 there is no XP or loot. After the first 10 offline minutes, recovery is 1 stamina minute per 3 offline minutes until 42 hours, then 1 per 10 offline minutes up to 56 hours.

Player Shop

Use a Player Shop item to open a personal stall in a protection zone. Offer real items from your inventory and set unit prices; buyers can inspect equipment, rune charges and container contents before paying. The seller receives bank gold after the shop fee, while buyers receive the exact offered item. Free accounts may list 40 offers and premium accounts 80. The shop runs for 48 consecutive hours and can stay open while the seller is offline.

Outfits earned in game

Thirteen full outfits are obtainable entirely through gameplay: Annihilator, Bestiary milestones, Fishing, Skinning and character level. Base looks and addons unlock permanently for both genders. Starter outfits include both addons for free; premium account outfits include both addons while premium is active. Demon Hunter comes from Demon Bestiary milestones I, II and III. Other cosmetics are sold as complete outfits for 250 points; Golden costs 1,000,000 bank gold.

Quivers

Rotten (2 slots, no fixed bonus) drops from Rotworms; Kongra (3 slots, +1 armor) drops from Kongras at the same 0.1% base rate. Dragon (4 slots, +1 attack), Hydra (5 slots, +1 attack and +1 armor) and Demon (6 slots, +2 attack and +1 armor) drop from their namesake creatures at 0.1% base each. All use the Dragon Quiver appearance for now. Paladins can equip one beside a bow or crossbow; quivers accept arrows and bolts, not other cargo. The Arrow/bolt weight enchant reduces only ammunition inside that equipped quiver; moving a stack out immediately restores its normal weight. Quivers can have Common through Legendary rarity from their assigned low/medium/high pool.

Soul Points and conjuration

Soul is used to create runes, ammunition and food. Free accounts: maximum 100, +1 every 60 seconds. Premium without promotion: maximum 150, +1 every 30 seconds. Premium with promotion: maximum 200, +1 every 15 seconds. Qualifying monster XP activates recovery for four minutes; recovery does not occur in protection zones. House beds restore 1 soul per 15 complete minutes of sleep. Open the Soul Points system for the conditions and all 38 conjuration costs.
